Opmerkelijke finesse en elegantie uit Mallorca

Bàrbara werkt helemaal alleen op haar biodynamische boerderij en is ontegensprekelijk één van de meest authentieke projecten van Mallorca.

We kennen haar geschiedenis maar al te goed, aangezien we al meer dan 20 jaar samenwerken.
Van niets is zij haar micro winery begonnen en heeft ze stuk voor stuk de wijngaarden met Cabernet Sauvignon en Chardonnay vervangen door de originele Mallorcaanse druivensoorten.

Deze zijn natuurlijk minder bekend, en vooral minder krachtig. Zij gaat volledig voor elegantie en ze wordt daar ook voor beloond, aangezien haar wijnen zeer geapprecieerd worden door sommeliers en professionals.
 
U kan niet altijd Tempranillo drinken, dus deze wijnen moet u zeker in uw kelder hebben!

Ziehier wat R.Parker erover zegt:
“Mesquida Mora continue with their organic approach, now with a vegetable garden to give work to local people and the local schools. In 2026, they plan to replant part of their Son Porque property with local grapes like Esperó de Gall and Escursac co-planted with apricot trees. All their vineyards are certified organic and produce around 80,000 bottles. “
 
“Mesquida Mora is one of the most interesting producers in Mallorca. All the wines are certified organic. Production is 85,000 to 90,000 bottles per year.”

Sincronia Blanc 2024

Nog niet gescoord, maar over de 2021 zei Parker het volgende :
“The young and tender 2021 Sincronia Blanc was produced with a blend of Premsal, Giró and Chardonnay, a light and easy-to-drink Mediterranean white with elegance and complexity, yellow and white fruit and a juicy palate. It has ripe flavors and 13.5% alcohol nicely balanced by a pH of 3.41 with a pleasant bitter twist in the finish.”

“After the very warm 2022, they picked the grapes for the 2023 Acrollam Blanc earlier. This wine is the result of different pickings and vinifications, a white with character, slightly cloudy and earthy, produced with 62% Premsal and 38% Giró. It has a fresh, balanced and serious palate with a chalky texture and a supple, almost salty finish. It has 13% alcohol and a pH of 3.36, coming through as medium-bodied and balanced. 4,077 bottles were filled in February 2024.”

"The young red 2023 Sincronia Negre was produced with a blend of Callet, Gorgollassa, Mantonegro, Syrah and Monastrell (no more Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon). It has contained ripeness, 12.5% alcohol, a medium-bodied palate and an approachable profile with fine tannins. It was bottled after four months in 225-liter French and American oak barrels."

“The 2022 Trispol was produced with a blend of Callet, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It delivers a sensation of ripe fruit despite the moderate alcohol (13%), combined with a pH of 3.72 and 5.2 grams of acidity. It has berry fruit and spice, some tannins to be resolved and a faint astringency in the finish. Better with food. 5,640 bottles produced.”

“There is something savory on the nose of the 2022 Sòtil that makes it attractive and intriguing. Here, they look for subtleness, lightness, elegance, a more ethereal red produced with Callet. It had a very light vinification and careful élevage, and it has moderate ripeness, at 12.5% alcohol, and fine-grained, chalky tannins. It matured in a 2,500-liter oak foudre, yet the wine doesn't have any oak (and the foudre was new that year...) Bravo! 3,000 bottles were filled in June 2023.”

“The super elegant pale red 2022 Gorgollassa kept a moderate 12.5% alcohol in a very warm year, and the wine is elegant, clean and fresh, with no noticeable heat or oak. It has a medium-bodied palate with balance, serious, chalky tannins and a long finish. It was only partly matured in oak. 1,998 bottles were filled in June 2023."
